We invite everyone to experience the beauty of Ikebana, a traditional Japanese art form passed down through generations. Ikebana is a wonderful art form that allows us to feel the beauty of nature through flowers and enrich our hearts. In this workshop, we will begin with an explanation of the basic concepts and techniques of Ikebana. Following this, professional instructor Takako Ino will demonstrate how an Ikebana arrangement comes to life. Participants will then have the opportunity to engage in hands-on Ikebana creation, unleashing their own creativity. You can take your finished arrangement home with you! Join us to experience Japanese tradition and beauty, and share a moment of enrichment. We look forward to seeing you!

Tokyo Society for the Hard of Hearing and Late-Deafened (NPO) Ikebana Class
The Ikebana class is one of the social groups at the Tokyo Society for the Hard of Hearing and Late-Deafened (NPO). Classes are held on the first Wednesday of every month at the Tokyo Metropolitan Welfare Hall for Persons with Disabilities. Instruction is provided using sign language and written communication, allowing not only hearing participants but also Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and late-deafened individuals who might otherwise find it challenging to participate freely. The association also provides opportunities to showcase their creations at the Tokyo Ear Day Commemorative Cultural Festival.
