My first name is ‘Sori’. It means "sound" or "voice" in Korean and it sounds like the English word "sorry". My voice (sori) right after my grandfather's funeral tormented my mother. Instead of apologizing, I justified my actions in my mind, but I wanted to hide away. That was when I vowed to never use my voice again. "I'm Sori, I'm Sorry" is the autobiographical documentary of a CODA with a deaf mother. The film received the Audience Award at the 23th Seoul Disabled People's Rights Film Festival Audience Award and was screened at the 26th Daegu Independent Short Film Festival in South Korea.
